Best Practices of the Department of Physics

i. The students find out the faults in the non-working old instruments available in the department and repair them. After that they perform the respective experiment. 

ii. They assemble some new low cost instruments which become useful for experiments in different classes. 

iii. They collect the study materials from internet and other sources. 

iv. They prepare subject related models and charts which are used as auxiliary materials to make the lectures more interesting

About the Department

• The department of Physics came into existence as a UG department from the establishment of the college in 1958.

• Eminent physicist Dr. J.N. Das served as the first H.O.D. Later on   Prof. Ranjit Singh,Prof.G.S.Thakur, Prof. J.P.Sharma, Prof. J.R.Panda, Prof. G.L.Patel,     Prof. K.J.Narayan and Dr.R.S.Kher had been working in the department.

• The post Graduate classes started in the session 1987-88 with the enrollment of 5 students with specialization in electronics. Now it has become 40.
